It's the little things for one Rohingya family

    Day 273

    A House to a Home

Yesterday, we met a husband and wife who finally have a solid roof over their heads. Today, we’re welcoming them to their new home.

This couple lost all the things that typically make up a home when they fled – like pots, pans, photos, and books.

Nothing can replace these things in their hearts. But, we can try to rebuild a sense of home, one step at a time.

We put together a kit that will help these two to a fresh start.

They now have new cookware, bedding, mats, and to top things off, a brand new beaming coat of paint for their home.

The things are everything, but they mean a fresh start. A new life. A little more comfort in difficult times. Some of the items they need to begin moving forward, while staying put.
