As the war in the Mideast continues for a third week, many Minnesotans have been looking for a way to help those impacted. Minneapolis-based Alight is now stepping up, accepting donations for Gaza.
The nonprofit says all financial donations will go directly to its partners on the ground in Gaza. Those partners are then able to buy items and provide thousands of families in need with their basic necessities.
In order to keep up with the dire needs, Alight CEO Jocelyn Wyatt says 100 trucks full of items like food and water would have to cross over the Egypt-Gaza border each day. Right now, around 50 trucks are making that daily trek.
