You can support refugees and displaced people around the world while also planning your financial future through planned giving. Here are some ways to do it:
You can leave a gift in your personal will or trust. It's easy! Just add the sample legal language below to your will or trust. Maybe even simpler, you can make Alight a beneficiary of an IRA account or an insurance policy. Just add "Alight" as a beneficiary of your account.
"I give and bequeath the sum of [XXX] dollars ($XXX) to the Alight ..." or "I give, devise and bequeath [description of asset (personal property, etc.)] to Alight"
When you put property into a charitable remainder trust, you continue to receive income from the property during the life of the trust. Alight then receives what property remains at the end of the trust. Contact your financial planner to discuss creating a charitable remainder trust benefiting Alight.
When you put property into a charitable lead trust, Alight receives income from the property during the life of the trust. When the trust ends, a non-charitable beneficiary then receives full ownership of what remains in the trust.
